Paul Nolan commenced training in 1996, having worked with Jim Bolger he decided to embrace a training career. Since then he has never looked back. Paul Nolan trains in Davidstown, just about two miles from the picturesque town of Enniscorthy. His numbers average about 50 throughout the year. With a mixed string kept on the go for the lucrative summer festival meetings.

The Team at Toberona Stables is what we account our success to and without our staff, success would not be possible. As we continue to improve the facilities and increase our numbers we are always looking to give our owners the best possible return from our yard. For the season of 2004 we have done a small Stable Tour. Here we outline a section of the horses we hope can do well for us and their owners.

 
 
Principal Jockeys at Toberona:
  • John Cullen, one of ireland's leading riders, who had a very successful year in 2004/2005 with 45 winners. John rode Cloone River to victory in the Guiness Galway Hurdle & Accordion Etoile to victory in Greatwood Handicap Hurdle, Cheltenham 2004.

  • Aidan "Scobie" Fitzgerald, one of the country's most successful amatuer riders, who has ridden 2 GPT winners, won the Champion Bumper in Punchestown on Royal Rosa, ridden three Landrover bumper winners and ridden over 100 bumper winners in his career to date.

  • Robbie Moran, Gain Southern Point to Point Champion 2004/2005, has turned professional and joined us in May 2005. Robbie has enjoyed some early success with us already and we are looking forward to a very successful partnership in the coming months.

  • Alain Cawley, 7lb conditional jockey joined us in the summer of 2004 , Alain, has ridden 4 winners in 2006 and will look to build on this in 2006/7
