Paul
Nolan commenced training in 1996, having worked with Jim Bolger he decided
to embrace a training career. Since then he has never looked back. Paul
Nolan trains in Davidstown, just about two miles from the picturesque
town of Enniscorthy. His numbers average about 50 throughout the year.
With a mixed string kept on the go for the lucrative summer festival meetings.
The Team at Toberona Stables is what we account our success to and without
our staff, success would not be possible. As we continue to improve the
facilities and increase our numbers we are always looking to give our
owners the best possible return from our yard. For the season of 2004
we have done a small Stable Tour. Here we
outline a section of the horses we hope can do well for us and their owners.
Principal Jockeys at Toberona:
- John Cullen, one of ireland's leading riders, who had a very successful
year in 2004/2005 with 45 winners. John rode Cloone River to victory
in the Guiness Galway Hurdle & Accordion Etoile to victory in Greatwood
Handicap Hurdle, Cheltenham 2004.
- Aidan "Scobie" Fitzgerald, one of the country's most successful
amatuer riders, who has ridden 2 GPT winners, won the Champion Bumper
in Punchestown on Royal Rosa, ridden three Landrover bumper winners
and ridden over 100 bumper winners in his career to date.
- Robbie Moran, Gain Southern Point to Point Champion 2004/2005, has
turned professional and joined us in May 2005. Robbie has enjoyed some
early success with us already and we are looking forward to a very successful
partnership in the coming months.
- Alain Cawley, 7lb conditional jockey joined us in the
summer of 2004 , Alain, has ridden 4 winners in 2006 and will look to build on this in 2006/7
